So very sad, so very true!!  Abbey is the image on right, the 6 year old in the story.

Left image is of the new “anti entrapment” style cover designed in approximately 2008.  This is required by law in all commercial pools. It is highly recommended that the unsafe covers be changed in residential pools as well.
